March 2013 A beautiful property in a lovely setting ; We very much enjoyed our stay at Mas Lamon. We found the apartment to be of a very high standard and to be clean, modern, very spacious and well equipped. The outside areas of Mas Lamon, including the wooded grounds and pool, are lovely. There is a relaxed feel and we felt very private, safe and at home in our apartment. The owners, Louise and Frank are really helpful and there to answer any questions you may have. We very much liked the old town of Argeles sur Mer with its market as well as the beach, which is only a few minutes away from Mas Lamon. There are many wonderful and interesting places to visit nearby, and the Spanish border and Pyrennes are very close. We enjoyed our holiday so much we have booked to go again next year and are looking forward to it already.

July 2012 calm and quiet ; We had a hot and nice vacation in the appartment. Nice swimming pool for the children. Rented bikes in Argeles und could ride to the beach in 30 Minutes. Also good for some Mountain Bike tours in the Pyrenees. There is plenty of space for the children to play, but in July/August they might prefer the swimming pool. The appartment was clean. Very friendly host.
July 2012 Wir verbrachten 14 schöne Tage ; Wir verbrachten zu viert (Kinder 18 und 15) einen schönen Urlaub im Juli 2012 in der weitläufigen schönen Anlage. Sie entsprach in etwa unseren Erwartungen aus der Beschreibung im Internet.

June 2012 Chez Nous at mas lamon holiday rental 443591 ; My wife and I enjoyed a really lovely two week holiday at Chez Nous. The location is a peaceful setting in the wooded hills a mile or so inland from Argeles Sur Mer. Our spacious apartment was spotlessly clean, well maintained and fully equipped. Nice views out to sea and down below in the extensive gardens the hibiscus and bougainvilleas were in full bloom. Louise is a lovely hostess and is English but speaks fluent French. I hope she does not mind my mention of this fact but it can ease worries over language barrier. I would thoroughly recommend Chez Nous. Be sure to explore the coastal towns along the coast to Spain. Drive through the Pyrenees to the ski resorts just for the views if nothing else.

April 2012 Natur-und Strandurlaub/nature and beach holidays ; Herrliche vier Wochen haben wir im Mas Lamon verbracht; eine Woche in Madeloc, den Rest der Zeit in Carlit. Das Mas bietet Ruhe und eine tolle Landschaft nahe den (Wein) -bergen. Madeloc besticht durch eine ganz private Terrasse mit Meerblick, Carlit nur ein paar Schritte vom Pool entfernt und ist besonders zu empfehlen, wer mit kleinen Kindern unterwegs ist. Wir konnten die Schlafenszeiten unserer kleinen Henriette wunderbar am Pool verbringen. Louise und Franck waren sehr gute Gastgeber, jederzeit Ansprechpartner bei Fragen und Problemen; besten Dank für das viele Kinderspielzeug! Die Wohnungen sind komplett ausgestattet; die Küche von Madeloc ist kleiner und einfacher gestaltet. Lediglich mit den Matratzen hatten wir Probleme - für unsere Schlafgewohnheit zu hart. Dennoch würden wir das Objekt Freunden/Familie weiterempfehlen: Inmitten einer schönen Naturlandschaft, abseits vom Trubel Argeles Plage, aber nicht zu weit, um das Strandleben zu genießen. Die besten Baguettes fanden wir in St. André, beim Bäcker direkt an der Hauptstraße.
We spent four great weeks at Mas Lamon; one week in Madeloc, later in Carlit. We found quietness and a great landscape. The advantage of Madeloc is the private terrasse with seaview. There are only a few steps from Carlit to the pool. It is recommended for a stay with children. Louise and Franck very excellent hosts - thanks a lot for the toys and all equipement. All gites are equipped completely - the kitchen of Madeloc is smaller and more basic. The only thing was that we had problems with the mattress - to hard for our sleep. We would recommend Mas Lamon to family and friends: Far away from the turbulence of Argeles plage but not too much to enjoy a day at the beach. We found the best baguettes in St. Andre, at the bakery at the mainstreet.

"Malgré une période hivernale, nous avons passé une semaine calme dans le calme. la maison est située près des accès aux village de Collioure, Cerbère, Argelès, ce permet de faire des sorties visites sur ces beaux villages bordant les cotes qui sont sauvages hors périodes estivales. nous avons eu ce que nous souhaitions. nous y retournerons avec nos enfants grandis, car l’espace du gîte propose aussi une aire de jeux idéale pour des enfants voulant découvrir la nature. pour les "petits cowboy" pas de soucis leurs plaisirs seront garantis avec les chevaux à coté." "The accommodation was clean and comfortable without there being too much clutter. When looking for accommodation I had been concerned that my 18 month old son should be able to walk about the accommodation freely without fear that he would pull ornaments and cables and get things he should not. This accommodation enabled me to move ornaments to shelves well out of his reach, and cables to lights etc were tucked behind furniture so they did not attract his attention. It was also very reassuring that the swimming pool enclosure was secure, with a child-proof gate to access the pool. The pool was a comfortable temperature (even in November!) for my 18 month old. Another helpful point was the playpen within the pool enclosure, which enabled me to have a swim without worrying about what my little boy was getting up to. The owners were helpful and friendly. The loan of the highchair in particular was a god-send. The travel cot would have been helpful if my son was not such an escape artist! All the baby items lent were clean and I had no qualms about letting my son use them. It was a shame the weather was not particularly kind to us (it rained rather a lot) but the owners were very helpful in making suggestions of things we could do together with my little 18 month old son, and they offered to lend suitable dvds to entertain him. Wir, 4 Erwachsene und zwei Kinder, waren mit der Anlage sehr zufrieden. Die Sauberkeit, Ruhe und nette persönliche Betreuung lassen keine Wünsche offen. Die Kinder hatten viel Platz zum ungestörten spielen und der Pool war einfach herrlich. Auf der großen Terrasse genossen wir die Herbstsonne und die Aussicht auf das Meer. Wir kommen wieder !! September 2011 Schön wars......; Im September 2011 haben wir unseren Urlaub in Argeles-sur-Mer, Mas Lamon, Wohnung Madeloc genossen. Die Wohnung ist sauber, ordentlich und gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht, ist aber leider etwas sparsam möbliert. Für uns war dies kein Problem, da wir im Urlaub keine größeren Menüs zubereiten. Das Bett war für größere Menschen etwas beengend, dadurch dass am Fußende ein Bettgestell ist. (Wir sind 1,78cm + 1,94 cm groß). Das Wohnzimmer war groß und gemütlich. Herausragend, gerade im Hochsommer, wenn es heiß ist, ist der schattige, kühle, uneinsichtiger Balkon mit Aussicht zum Meer. Auf diesem konnte man es sich beim Frühstück, oder mit einem guten Buch gut gehen lassen. Erwähnenswert ist auch der große, sehr schöne Pool. Das Haus liegt im Wald. Mit Hund ist die Lage perfekt. Aus dem Haus raus kann man sofort mit dem Spaziergang beginnen. Es gibt im Umfeld, einiges zu erkunden. Ruck, zuck ist man am Meer. Hat Auswahl zwischen langen Sandstränden, oder kleinen Buchten zwischen Felsklippen. Die Gegend hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Vermieter sind ausgesprochen nett, freundlich, hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns wirklich sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. "Das Haus ist ein schönes Mehrfamilienhaus ausserhalb der ortes am Hang umgeben von Wald und einer Pferdekoppel; Sehr ruhig, wunderschön gelegen. Die Wohnungen sind schön renoviert und haben tolle terrassen, teilweise mit Blick aufs Meer. der Pool ist spitze, beheitzt! June 2011 An excellent family holiday ; We have just returned from an excellent family holiday in the Canigou Gite. Frank and Louise were friendly and helpful, recommending the best beaches and places to eat. The children had an excellent time being able to roam safetly around the grounds of the property. The property was very clean and comfortable. The pool was clean, heated and safely fenced off. Would recommend to friends and family and we would like to return in the future. Recommended for: Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
June 2011 a long and beautiful weekend! ; we stayed four days and received lot of attentions and kindness from the owners of the place, even though all apartments were occupied at the same time. the apartment we got was in good conditions, large, and every issue was taken care of or received acknowledge and an answer. the pool is heated and helped us enjoying a rainy weekend. place is quiet, the wood around is clean, there are farms and lot of activities around to visit and spend a gerat time with the kids or to discover the beauty of the area, if not enjoying the sea (we had some rain!)... Louise and Franck have been great hosts and done a marvellous job with the apartments and the pool! Congratulations from Costanza, Massimo & Luca! April 2011 Lovely time in Mas Lamon ; Beautiful big spotless flat suitable for our large family (3 children), matches perfectly the description given. Spectacular view of the Mediterranean from the terrace. Lovely warm pool enjoyed for endless hours everyday (end April) and lots of outdoor games (swing, table tennis...). Many areas to visit like Collioure or Port Vendres nearby or Spanish towns slightly further. The kindness and hospitality of the owners add to the natural charm of the place. We look forward to coming back soon. Recommended for: Families with Young Children
April 2011 Mas Lamon, Argeles Sur Mer ; We had a lovely relaxing week. It was our first time away with our one year old and the gite was perfect. A lovely warm swimming pool with a safety gate, lots of land for little people to run around in and our gite was all on one level which was fantastic. The drive (or cycle) to Argeles Sur Mer is not far away and a great town to get everything you need. We would head there first thing in the morning to get our fresh croissants and cheese for the day! The owners were very helpful and welcoming and on hand readily to answer any queries. One piece of advice, make sure you are clear on directions to get to the gite, it is just outside the town and we struggled to find it and our French not being up to much, took some time to locate the property! But once there it was worth the wait. Also if you like wine, make sure you visit the local Caves, you can get some good and very reasonable wine. Recommended for: Sightseeing, Families with Young Children

April 2011 Well equipped gite in lovely location ; We wanted a holiday near to the sea, but away from a 'resort' and Mas Lamon was perfect. The serentiy of the surroundings with only birds and cicadas to disturb the peace was just what we were looking for, and yet in five minutes we could be in Argeles village, and another five took us to the beach. The gite had everything we could possibly need for our stay, and was spotlessly clean. Louise and Franck have obviously put a great deal of thought and hard work into making these gites and the surrounding area into great holiday accommodation. July 2010 Mas Lamon ; I just wanted to say that we had a super time whilst staying at Mas Lamon last week. The gite was indeed fantastic, pool and boules pitch were very welcome as it was extremely hot when we were there and we needed the cool water and shade of the trees during the day time. It is always a little worrying as to whether everything will be up to scratch or the location suitable etc but Louise was a fantastic host and the gite was very convenient for the village, coast etc. Many thanks, Helen
